This Purim, the women of the Ramaz Upper School had the opportunity to attend a chagiga in honor of the women and men of Israel. Mothers, daughters, and female faculty members spent a night in the auditorium singing, dancing, and praying for Israel, and specifically, the victims of the Nova Massacre on October 7th.
The focus of the night was celebrating the lives of those killed at Nova and spreading the message that we will dance again. Hosting the chagiga was our message to the world that we are still here and no matter how many times our enemies try to stop the party, we will never stop dancing and celebrating.
The celebration was complete with dinner, an original song by Gabrielle Silverberg ’25, a speech from Rachel Kraus, and enough dancing to make your feet fall off. Mothers, daughters, and teachers got together for a night of remembrance and celebration to remind the world that we are still here and we will dance again.
